This image, showing one of the corpse's legs from the knee (at the left) to mid-shin clearly shows the broken skin of the compound tibial fracture. The metal framework supporting the corpse is obvious here and in a number of other photos, which is necessary to prevent the corpse from fracturing under its own weight.
