The marked post-holes in this quadrant of the fortress clearly show the outline of one of the longhouses in the foreground. The group is walking through the center of the square composed of the four buildings in this quadrant. Beyond them, a dark line indicates the original location of the raised wooden roads that bisected the compound North-to-South and East-To-West. In other images, the lines of post-holes left by this construction can be plainly seen.
