The lesser-known of the two runestones at Jelling, erected by King Gorm and bearing the inscription: "King Gorm made this monument in memory of Thyra, his wife, Denmark's salvation." It is theorized that this stone may originally have been set at the bow of the large ship setting that is thought to have existed over the entire site. The runes on this stone are written in lines from bottom to top, with the lines being read left to right.
